Textiles

I am drawn to natural fibers, yarn, and fabric—their tactility, purity, and endless potential. I enjoy the slow, meditative processes of weaving, knitting, felting, and quilting. For me, the act of transforming raw material into a new, beautiful, and useful piece is deeply gratifying.

The line between art and craft is intentionally blurred in my work. Many of my textiles could be wall pieces or rugs—objects meant to be both seen and lived with. Color plays a central role, and I’m influenced by the Bauhaus School, especially Anni and Josef Albers, whose inventive use of color and natural materials feels as resonant today as ever.

Handwoven textiles have a presence and longevity that I love. I’m inspired by the idea of a fabric or quilt that is cherished, used, and passed down—functional, tactile, and enduring.
